Moray Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport (PEPAS) Training Calendar 2016 – 2017
Moray PEPAS Calendar shows all sports related training courses that take place in Moray in 2017. You can see more info about a course or how to book a place by clicking on the course you are interested in. Watch the space to stay updated with new training opportunities!
These courses are open to school staff, parents, club members or anyone with a bit of time who would like to help us get more people, more active, more often. Most courses require very little in the way of experience – all that’s needed is a bit of enthusiasm.
Once trained, your local Sports Development Officer/ Active Schools Coordinator will work with you to put your newly-found skills to good use (don’t worry, you won’t be thrown in at the deep end…unless you want to be!). Most courses are free – in the few cases where this is not the case the cost will likely be highly subsidised for those involved in extra-curricular activity.
All courses contain some element of activity so participants should wear appropriate clothing and footwear for getting active. We can also arrange training in a range of other sports and activities (e.g. mountain biking, John Muir Award) through our local partners, so if you want to learn how to deliver an activity not listed above, or if you have a lapsed coaching qualification you would like to renew then contact your local Sports Development Officer/ Active Schools Coordinator to discuss. Sports Development and Active Schools will ensure all its training and activities are delivered in accordance with the Positive Coaching Scotland principles – creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere at sessions and events to ensure young people stay in sport.
