Course Overview
This Coaching Essentials course is designed to equip aspiring and current coaches with the fundamental tools to improve their coaching practice. The course will focus on three key areas:

• Creating a Positive Environment
  Learn how to build a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable training environment where all players feel valued and actively engaged.
• Game-Based Learning
  Explore how to develop players’ understanding and skills through a game-based approach to training.
• Player-Centred Skill Development
  Understand how to tailor coaching to individual player needs using a player-centred approach.

In addition, the course includes a tackle/contact safety session, highlighting best practices for safe play and raising awareness around concussion protocols.

What to Expect
While there is a practical element to the course, there is no requirement to participate physically—just bring a positive attitude! We’ll be using both a classroom setting for theory and an indoor sports hall for practical demonstrations.
