Summer of Sport 2026

The activity below is delivered by local organisations and proudly funded through the Summer of Sport 2026 grant scheme. This exciting initiative supports clubs and groups across Moray to provide high‑quality activities for children. The scheme aims to remove barriers to participation, ensuring that every young person—regardless of background or circumstance—has the opportunity to enjoy and benefit from sport.

Eclipse Taewkondo – BuckieClasses for ASN & Neurodiverse children & teenagers. These will run during the first 3 terms of the new school year.
The other part is to fund monthly kyorugi (sparring) sessions for our students.

Elgin Sport Community TrustThe Boccia Roadshow and Festival 2026 will take place in selected schools in Moray from August to October. Each school will receive Boccia coaching for 6 weeks, targeting P5-7 classes with at least one pupil who utilises the Enhanced Provision unit. Homepage – Elgin Sports Community Trust
Speybay Golf ClubWe will be running a get into golf programme for juniors at the club through the summer in which they can sign up and take part in tester sessions. All clubs / equipment will be provided. As part of the pathway all kids will be able to the join the club for £15 in total and we will help with clubs.Facebook

These sessions are for young people with Additional Support Needs (ASN).
Coach the Coaches Sessions
Aimed at developing young coaches, The most promising coaches identified through the programme will be supported to progress onto the SFA Level 1 coaching course.
Girls Football Camp
This camp is focused on increasing female participation in football for girls of all abilities.

RM CoachingR M Coaching will deliver inclusive football coaching sessions across Moray, offering structured one-to-one support to help participants develop skills, build confidence and enjoy being active. Sessions will be open to all abilities, with a focus on creating accessible and positive sporting opportunities.Social media. The Loft – KeithThroughout our Summer Programme (which is called Get Up & Go)  we will be providing a range of active activities and include lunch and refreshments.Facebook
Karate Academy ScotlandWe will use the funding to help set up two additional weekly classes in Forres and Buckie.
We will be offering introductory promotions to attract new members.
We will use the funds to help cover the costs of additional volunteers get there pvgs and any further coaching
qualifications.

Moray Active Schools-Delivery of the Dance Leaders & Summer Coach Academy programmes.
– Support the upskilling of key club/community members via the Disability Inclusion Training.
-Introduce supervised secondary gym sessions across each ASG in Moray.
The introduction of 2 separate blocks will allow for a targeted Girls only gym block.

Badminton MoraySummer Badminton Camps – Monday 13th July – Thursday 16th July at Moray Sports Centre – P3-5 from 10:00-12:00, P6-S2 from 12:00-14:00. Supporting Young Carers weekly sessions beginning 19th August. Facebook
Cala ResidentialOur young people will be able to take part in all manner of activities provided with the FitLife cards. All 6 of our young people will be able to enjoy swimming, gym, climbing wall activities as well as many more and they are all truly thankful and excited to going along with their peers which is something they all struggle with.
The Gaff ForresThe Gaff aims to continue working alongside Active Schools coaches and Young Leaders to provide a consistent timetable of varied activity sessions during term time and occasional sessions in the school holidays. Ticket source
