Scottish Orienteering’s Introduction to Orienteering (IntrO) course is ideal for teachers, school staff, volunteers, and leaders who want to confidently deliver fun, safe, and engaging orienteering activities in school or community settings. It’s suitable for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills.

Why Orienteering?
Orienteering helps young people develop key life skills such as problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, confidence, and resilience, while supporting physical fitness and wellbeing. It also links well with the curriculum, including Health & Wellbeing, Mathematics, Social Studies, STEM, and Outdoor Learning.

Course Aims & Learning Outcomes
